READING 0-3 LEEDS UNITED. PABLO HERNANDEZ SCORES TWICE TO RETURN LEEDS TO THE TOP

Leeds’ Pablo Hernandez scored two magnificent goals to return Leeds United back to the top of the Championship with a 3 – 0 emphatic victory against Reading.

With pre-match leaders, Norwich City missing in action until Wednesday, Marcelo Bielsa’s team shot the Canaries at the top with a scintillating performance and decisiveness to stop a resurgent home side, who have been unbeaten thrice.

Mateusz Klich steered Luke Ayling’s cutback in from the 10 yards to put Leeds ahead inside 15 minutes, and Pablo Hernandez took a slide rule pass on the edge of the box, spun and curled the ball off the post for the second goal.

Hernandez settled the game just before halftime when he shot the ball across Reading’s goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez from the edge of the box for Leed’s number three goal.

As it is expected with such a good lead, the contest after the break was a more pedestrian affair, and Leeds were able to see the match through to full-time unscathed.
